The Family Support Center’s Adult Education Program is committed to helping individuals achieve their academic goals. The Program seeks to provide educational services to individuals who have not earned a High School Diploma or equivalency, are looking for employment, or are seeking to advance in their career. Program goals focus on helping individuals obtain a GED, obtain and retain employment, enter Post Secondary or Higher Educational Institutions and/or improve literacy skills.
Adult Education Program includes:
To Enroll: An individual must be at least 17 years old and not currently enrolled in a K-12 school. Students under the age of 18 must have a written withdrawal from the last school attended, an Exit Interview form as well as a notarized letter from a parent / Legal Guardian stating permission to enroll in the Adult Ed Classes. Students must register at the main FSC site at 113 W. Main St. and provide an Alabama Photo ID and Social Security Card.
Individuals earning their GED are eligible for one (1) free course at a public 2 year college in the State of Alabama!
