About Us

The Family Support Center is a 501(c)3  non-profit Family Resource Center that was founded in 1997 with a mission to improve the quality of life for children and families in the River Region through education, advocacy, and employment.  Through our many programs, we are able to fulfill this mission, make stronger individuals, families and communities.   All programs, classes and trainings offered through the Center are FREE! The Center is primarily funded through federal, state and local grants, as well as, through fundraisers and donations.  In this past fiscal year, we provided services to 2089 individuals and taught over 800 educational classes.
